How to Create LAN (Local Area Network) Connection Between 2 Computers

Feeling lonely, because playing the games alone?

Well, then why not play it together with your friend?

Note: This works only on 2 computers, if there are more than 2 computers, you'll need other tools, like hub or switch or routers, etc

Let's try this:

Right click on My computer/Properties
Click the Computer tabs at 'Computer Name', rename your computer and the workgroup (Both of the computers must have a same name at this workgroup)
Start/Control Panel/Network Connection
Right click on your LAN connection/Properties
On the general tab, choose the 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then properties
Click 'Use the following IP address', then input these:
IP Address = 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway = 192.168.0.2
Click OK

Do it at your second PC too, but change the IP address into these:
IP Address = 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway = 192.168.0.1

Then try connecting the cable! If nothing's wrong then these 2 computers will detecting each other.
Note: Maybe you need to restart your computer first if these steps didn't work.
